Lightroom 2.2 was released a couple of hours ago. Tom’s announcement covers all the gory details, but a couple of highlights are worth mentioning:
- Canon 5D Mark II support (ooh, ahh … I want one!
) - Canon PowerShot G10 support
- Camera Raw profiles added
- Bunch o’ bugs fixed

And I am so happy it is out. I could make my workflow work with a batch file to copy files off the card and then launch the DNG Converter, then importing those DNGs into Lightroom 2.1 but it was such a wonderful relief to put the card in and have the CR2s from my 5D MkII imported straight into Lightroom.
Now, if Lightroom would just keep track of the .MOV files–I don’t need editing, just importing and the ability to assign a bit of metadata–I would be in heaven.
I have use Aperture for a long while now but also here some good Lightroom, I will check it out again on my PC.
