Sigh. Yes. I know it’s been a while since I’ve blogged.
First things first. Yes, I’m alive and well. I’m still a geek. I’m still a photographer. I’m still working on Lightroom. And still having fun doing all of these things.
So far as I know, nobody I know was on the bridge when it fell. One coworker’s brother was only a minute or two from entering the bridge at the time, and he published some photos (as of February 2010, the link is now dead) he took while he was stuck in traffic.
While I’ve been in hibernation, I did work on a new version of my photography website (along with a new version of the blog look and feel to match the portfolio site) and I have published many new photos on Flickr. And there’s a lot more in the photo archives just waiting to be seen.
Those of you who are in Minnesota or the upper Midwest might want to take a stop by your local bookstore and pick up a copy of the July/August issue of Northern Gardener. My mom and I teamed up for a feature article on what she calls “deckscaping” or creating miniature landscapes on your deck. This six-page article features nine photographs that I created last summer and fall to accompany the article.

Wow, the photo’s of the bridge are something else. Thank heaven he was not caught in this and is OK.
